TL;DR

  • Rockstar has officially named six regions in the state of Leonida: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park.
  • Each one maps onto a real slice of Florida, from Miami to the Everglades to the panhandle coast.
  • Inside Vice City, only four sub-locations are official: Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, the Tisha-Wocka flea market, and VC Port.
  • Every other district name circulating online comes from fan trailer analysis, not from Rockstar.
  • The full location list arrives at launch on November 19, 2026, or earlier if Trailer 3 opens up new ground.

Here is the complete GTA 6 all locations list, restricted to places Rockstar has actually named. That restriction matters, because the version of this list you find on most sites is padded out with district names pulled from freeze-framed trailer footage and presented as if they came off a press release. They didn’t.

What Rockstar has published is a state, six regions, and a handful of named spots inside its biggest city. That is a smaller list than the internet suggests and a far more useful one, because every entry on it is load-bearing.

GTA 6 all locations: the six confirmed regions of Leonida

Leonida is the fictional state GTA 6 takes place in, and it is Florida with the serial numbers filed off. Rockstar’s own site breaks it into six regions, each with a tagline and a short description:

  • Vice City

    Real-world analogue Miami

The state's only named city. Four sub-locations are official: Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, the Tisha-Wocka flea market, VC Port.

  • Leonida Keys

    Real-world analogue The Florida Keys

The archipelago off the southern tip. Bars and deck chairs, plus water Rockstar calls as hazardous as it is photogenic.

  • Grassrivers

    “Welcome to the Wetlands”

    Real-world analogue The Everglades

Called "the untamable jewel of Leonida's crown." Alligators named as the attraction, deadlier things in the mangroves.

  • Port Gellhorn

    “Live Hard”

Real-world analogue The Gulf coast / panhandle

Leonida's forgotten coast, set in Kelly County. Closed motels, dead attractions, and a dirt bike.

  • Ambrosia

    “Keeping Leonida Sweet”

Real-world analogue Florida's inland sugar belt

Ambrosia County, anchored by the Allied Crystal sugar refinery. Almost no footage exists.

  • Mount Kalaga National Park

    “Wild, Wild Country”

    Real-world analogue North Florida backcountry

The northern fringe, and the only region with real elevation in an otherwise flat state.

Reference — The six officially named regions of Leonida, with the real-world Florida analogue each maps onto, plus Rockstar's own tagline where we can quote it verbatim. Compiled from the region copy on Rockstar's official GTA 6 site. Not a map — Rockstar has never published one.

That spread is the actual headline. GTA 5 launched with one city and the county around it. Leonida ships with a metropolis, an island chain, a swamp, a dead-end industrial coast, farm country, and a national park. How much total acreage that adds up to is a separate argument with no official answer, and we’ve taken it apart in detail over on gta 6 map size rather than guessing at it here.

Below, each region gets its own section: what Rockstar says it is, what it’s based on, and what’s been shown of it so far.

Vice City: the state’s only named city

Vice City is the centre of gravity. It’s a fictionalized Miami, it was the setting of the 2002 game that carried its name, and GTA 6 returns to it in the present day rather than the neon-drenched 1980s. Rockstar’s copy leans hard on that gap in time, describing a city that has changed decade to decade while keeping its reputation intact.

Four places inside it are official, and this is the whole inventory:

  • Ocean Beach: the art deco hotel strip and white sand, and the part of the state both trailers linger on longest.
  • Little Cuba: the Cuban-American district, which Rockstar’s copy flags by its panaderías.
  • The Tisha-Wocka flea market: bootleg brands, named on the same page.
  • VC Port: the cruise terminal, which Rockstar bills as the cruise ship capital of the world.

Everything else you have seen labelled on a Vice City map is fan reconstruction — the confirmed-versus-invented breakdown is in gta 6 vice city map.

What’s been shown: more of Vice City than of anywhere else. Trailer 1 opened on it. Trailer 2, captured in-game on PS5, spent most of its runtime there, moving between beach, high-rise, causeway, and canal. The June 2026 screenshot batch was similarly city-weighted. If you have formed a mental image of GTA 6, it is probably an image of Vice City.

Leonida Keys: the archipelago south of the city

The Keys are the tropical island chain running off Leonida’s southern tip, and the real-world reference is unmistakable: the Florida Keys, the Overseas Highway, and the chain of bars and dive shops strung along them.

The description is about a casual, permanently intoxicated atmosphere. The dress code is loose, the bars are stocked, and the pitch is to get a drink and find a deck chair. Then the copy turns, warning that the water just offshore is as hazardous as it is photogenic. That second half is the interesting part. Dangerous water in a Rockstar game is not scenery. It’s smuggling routes, it’s boats, it’s the maritime side of a Florida crime story that would be strange to leave on the table.

What’s been shown: coastal and boat footage appeared in Trailer 2, and the Keys are the natural home for it, though Rockstar has not explicitly captioned any shot as Keys territory. Treat specific island identifications as fan work.

The Keys also matter structurally. An archipelago means the map’s southern edge is water and bridges rather than a hard coastline, which historically gives Rockstar room for isolated missions, hidden properties, and travel that isn’t just driving.

Grassrivers: the wetlands

Grassrivers is the Everglades, and Rockstar’s copy about it is the most evocative of the six. The tagline is Welcome to the Wetlands, and the region is described by Rockstar as “the untamable jewel of Leonida’s crown.” The alligators get named as the famous attraction, followed immediately by a line about deadlier predators and stranger discoveries waiting in the mangroves.

Read that as a design statement. Rockstar is signalling that Grassrivers is not a flat green texture between the city and the highway. Mangrove country means airboats, stilt houses, shallow water, and terrible sightlines. It also means a place to hide things, which in a crime game is the whole point of a swamp.

The real Everglades sit directly west of Miami, and Grassrivers occupying the same relationship to Vice City is the strongest available clue about how the state’s western interior is laid out.

What’s been shown: swamp and wetland environments appeared in Trailer 2’s rapid cuts, including airboat-adjacent imagery. Rockstar has not published a dedicated Grassrivers reveal.

One correction worth flagging: a lot of aggregator coverage swapped the Grassrivers and Leonida Keys descriptions when Rockstar’s site went up, attaching the bars-and-deck-chairs copy to the swamp. Grassrivers is the wetlands. The Keys are the bars.

Port Gellhorn: Leonida’s forgotten coast

Port Gellhorn is the region that tells you what kind of game this is. Rockstar calls it Leonida’s forgotten coast and sets it in Kelly County. The description is a catalogue of decline — closed motels, dead attractions, vacant retail — sketching a local economy propped up by cheap alcohol, prescription painkillers, and gas-station caffeine. The tagline is Live Hard, and the section signs off by pointing you at a dirt bike and telling you to watch your pockets.

The analogue is the Gulf coast and the Florida panhandle, the part of the state that tourism money passed through on its way somewhere else. Rockstar has spent two decades writing about American decay, from the Rust Belt gestures in GTA IV to the entirety of Red Dead Redemption 2’s dying frontier, and Port Gellhorn is where GTA 6 puts that material.

Mechanically, the dirt bike line is the tell. A depressed coastal region with abandoned attractions and empty lots reads as an off-road playground, which fits with what we know about the game’s broader systems in our gta 6 gameplay features rundown.

What’s been shown: less than for Vice City. Faded roadside architecture and motel signage appeared in trailer footage, but Rockstar has not put a Port Gellhorn nameplate on a specific shot.

Ambrosia: sugar country

Ambrosia is the least discussed of the six and possibly the most interesting. Rockstar’s tagline is Keeping Leonida Sweet, and the description is a single loaded line about the battle for the health and wealth of Leonida beginning here. Ambrosia County is anchored by the Allied Crystal sugar refinery.

Real Florida has an inland agricultural belt around Lake Okeechobee where sugar is the dominant industry and a genuinely contentious political subject, tangled up in water rights, Everglades runoff, and federal subsidy. Rockstar naming a refinery and then framing the region around Leonida’s health and wealth in the same breath is not decoration. It’s a satirical target being set up in advance.

That also gives Grassrivers a neighbour with a motive. Sugar and wetlands sitting next to each other on the same map, with one region’s copy about untamed nature and the other’s about industry, is a deliberate arrangement.

What’s been shown: essentially nothing identifiable. Ambrosia is the region with the largest gap between how much Rockstar has written about it and how much footage exists. No trailer shot has been officially tied to it.

Mount Kalaga National Park: the northern fringe

Mount Kalaga is the national park on Leonida’s northern edge, and Rockstar’s tagline is Wild, Wild Country. The official line is about room to breathe on the state’s northern fringes.

Press coverage has extended that with descriptions of hunting, fishing, off-road trails, and backwoods populated by hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals. That longer passage circulates widely, but we haven’t been able to confirm it as verbatim Rockstar site copy rather than outlet paraphrase. Treat the vibe as reliable and the exact wording as secondhand.

The real-world reference is north Florida: pine forest, springs, and the higher inland ground that most people forget the state has. It is the closest thing Leonida has to Mount Chiliad, and it matters because elevation changes what a map can do. Florida is famously flat. Building a national park with actual relief into the north end gives Rockstar somewhere to put vistas, cable-free wilderness, and the sort of isolated encounter design that Red Dead 2 was built around.

What’s been shown: forest and inland terrain appeared briefly in Trailer 2. As with most non-Vice City regions, nothing has been officially captioned.

Named places that aren’t regions

The six regions aren’t the whole official list. A handful of specific locations have been named outside the map copy, mostly through the story synopsis and the edition listings, and they belong in any honest GTA 6 all locations inventory.

Leonida Penitentiary. The state prison Lucia Caminos is released from early in the story. Rockstar’s own synopsis puts it there, which makes it the only named institution in Leonida and one of the few places we know a protagonist has physically been before the game starts. Where it sits on the map is unstated.

Vercetti Estate. Named in the Ultimate Edition listing as the location tied to the Hawk & Little Morgan Revolver pair. The surname is a deliberate callback for anyone who played the 2002 game, and it is the closest Rockstar has come to formally connecting old Vice City to new Vice City.

The PTT Youngin$ Compound. A raid location included with the Ultimate Edition. It’s named, it’s official, and it is otherwise a blank.

Rideout Customs, Sara’s Unisex Salon, and Stock 305. Three venues listed as Ultimate Edition exclusives. A garage, a salon, and what the name suggests is a Vice City clothing store, given 305 is Miami’s real area code. If you’re weighing whether those extras justify the upgrade, that’s the argument we run through in gta 6 standard vs ultimate edition.

Allied Crystal, Kelly County, and Ambrosia County. Three names that reach us through region copy rather than a location page: the sugar refinery that anchors Ambrosia, plus the only two administrative divisions Rockstar has put a name to anywhere in the state. Kelly County holds Port Gellhorn. Ambrosia does double duty as both a region and a county, which is a small hint that Rockstar’s region boundaries and its county boundaries are not the same lines.

The edition listings are a strange source to be leaning on, and it’s worth being clear about what they are. Rockstar sells the Ultimate Edition on a bundle of in-game unlocks, and describing an unlock means naming the place it attaches to. That’s a storefront obligation, not a marketing reveal, which is why these names show up with no screenshot, no region assignment, and no context beyond a bullet in a product description. It also means the inventory will keep growing quietly rather than dramatically. Every additional bundle, pre-order tier, or platform-specific extra Rockstar itemises between now and November has to name what it is itemising. Store pages have already produced more official place names than either trailer did, which is not how anyone expected this to go, and it’s a reasonable argument for watching the listings as closely as the marketing.

None of these have confirmed coordinates. They’re names on a list, which is exactly how they should be treated until someone plays the game or Rockstar publishes a map.

What’s still unmapped and unnamed

Six regions, four Vice City sub-locations, one refinery, and two county names. That is the entire official GTA 6 all locations inventory as of today, and the gaps are larger than the list.

There is no official district map of Vice City. There is no published list of towns inside Grassrivers, Ambrosia, or the Kalaga backcountry. Kelly County and Ambrosia County are named, but no one has published how many counties Leonida contains or where their borders sit. Individual businesses, safehouses, and interiors are unnamed except where they appear in the Ultimate Edition listing, which mentions specific venues without placing them on a map.

The single biggest unknown is how the six regions connect. Rockstar has never released a Leonida map, not in the trailers, not in the June 2026 screenshot batch, not on the store listings. Every “full GTA 6 map” image you have seen is a fan reconstruction, usually built by triangulating trailer geography against real Florida satellite imagery. Some of that work is genuinely impressive. None of it is official, and the leaked figures for interior counts and points of interest that get attached to those maps carry the same caveat.

Which is why this list stays short on purpose. Six confirmed regions is less exciting than a labelled map with two hundred pins on it. It is also the only version of this list that will still be accurate on November 20.

What to watch

Trailer 3 is the next realistic chance for new location names. It has no announced date, and the insider projection points to early August near Take-Two’s August 7 earnings call, which is a projection rather than a schedule. Rockstar’s pattern with previous launches suggests a marketing push that expands the world map in the final months, and previews or hands-on coverage would be the point where region-level names give way to district-level ones.

The complete list lands November 19, 2026. Until then, anything beyond these six regions and four Vice City spots is somebody’s reconstruction, however good it looks.
