Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
NeonPulse ("we") operates this website. This page explains what data is handled when you visit.
What we collect
We do not require accounts to read the site. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data (IP address, user agent) to serve and secure the site.
The one place we collect personal information directly is the newsletter signup form: if you choose to subscribe, you give us your email address. That form is operated on our behalf by beehiiv, which stores your address and delivers the emails. Unsubscribing stops future newsletter delivery. You may contact us to request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legally required retention. We never sell or rent your address.
Fonts and third parties
Fonts are served from this site's own domain — we do not load Google Fonts or any other third-party font CDN, so your IP address is not shared with them.
Embedded video
Some pages carry an official Rockstar Games trailer, shown through YouTube's embedded player. We do not host or copy the video.
Before you press play: the page requests the video's thumbnail
image from i.ytimg.com, a Google domain, when the trailer scrolls
near your screen. That request tells Google your IP address and that you
loaded a page carrying that thumbnail. Nothing else about the video is loaded,
and the YouTube player itself is not created.
When you press play: the player is created and loaded from
youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, and
playback is then governed by
Google's privacy policy.
If you never press play, the player is never created.
This section was added on 1 August 2026. The thumbnail request had always happened; this page had simply never said so, and a privacy page that omits a third-party request is inaccurate whether or not the omission was deliberate.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free measurement service that does not track you across sites and does not use persistent identifiers. We do not sell or share personal data.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage (pages viewed, how visitors arrive). Google receives your IP address in order to derive approximate location. Google states that for visitors in the EU, Switzerland and the UK it does not log or store individual IP addresses — the lookup happens on servers in those regions and the address is discarded. See also Google's privacy policy. You can block this with any standard content blocker, and the site works fully without it.
Cookies
Whether analytics cookies are set depends on where you are.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: before loading any Google tag, this site initializes a local Consent Mode default that marks analytics storage, advertising storage, ad personalization, and ad user data as denied for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Google's tags read that queued default when they load. Google's consent message then asks for your choice. Storage is intended to remain withheld unless and until you grant it.
- Everywhere else: Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (
_gaand_ga_<id>) when the page loads. They distinguish one visit from another and measure returning visitors. They are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies.
You can delete these cookies at any time in your browser settings, block them with any standard content blocker, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works fully without them. Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies at all.
Advertising and affiliate links
Current status, stated precisely:
- The Google AdSense verification script is active on this site. It loads on every page.
- No visible ad units are currently enabled, so you will not see adverts yet.
- Adverts may only be enabled after Google approves the site.
- Google's consent-management message is used in applicable European regions (the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland).
The terms below govern advertising on this site, and are published in advance so you can read them before anything changes.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- Where required by law, personalised advertising will only be served to visitors in those regions after consent is collected through a certified consent management platform.
NeonPulse currently earns nothing from any link on this site. There are no
affiliate links, no sponsored posts and no paid placements anywhere on neonpulsehq.com. If
that changes, every paid or commissioned link will carry a rel="sponsored"
attribute and the article will disclose it above the content, before you click. A commercial
link would never change what we say about a product — our
editorial policy governs that, and corrections are logged
publicly on our corrections page.
Corrected August 9, 2026. This paragraph previously read that articles "may contain affiliate links, which earn us a commission". That was a present-tense description of income the site does not receive, and it contradicted our terms, which state the opposite. A site-wide crawl found the contradiction; the terms page had already been corrected on August 9 and this one had been missed.
